Freshwater it is more than a name

Freshwater Sydney – it is more than a name.

Renaming the suburb from Harbord to Freshwater has done wonders for the local real estate prices, but there is much more to Freshwater than just a name.

Freshwater is vibrant little hub close to Manly but without the swarms of summer tourist crowds. Surf club, beaches, fishing spots, cafes, local shops: freshwater has them in spades.

The Harbord Diggers RSL club dominates the freshwater penninsular – perhaps a name change to the Freshwater Diggers is called for. The Diggers has undergone a recent revamp and now multi million dollar apartments stand above this happening club.

Unfortunatley transport to the City is not a patch on Manly but it is acceptable and tolerable to be able to live in Freshwater.

At Man and His Van we have noticed a recent decline in Freshwater real estate prices. A great time to be moving and Man and His VanMan and His VanMan and His Van are just around the corner. We prefer removals in our own back yard and day.

49 Surfers Parade Freshwater has just sold for $2,461,000. This is a renovated home with 5 bedrooms. The block is only about 400 sq meters but a nice tidy property. This home sold in 1998, unrenovated for $387,000. It is always a good sign when owners are in the house for over 20 years.32 Surfers Parade Freshwater

32 Surfers Parade sold in February for $2,250,000. Similar size block to number 49 but a little bit smaller floor space.
